Goodwood 2025: Supercars, Celebs, and the EV Hillclimb Record

This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed was one of the biggest in memory — a turbocharged blend of supercar debuts, classic metal, motorsport royalty, and a growing electric presence that culminated in a new hillclimb record for Ford’s all-electric Supertruck.

The Ford performance team shocked spectators by setting a blistering 43.03-second run up the hill, beating out entries from Subaru, Porsche, and several internal combustion giants. With 1,400bhp on tap, the Supertruck proved that electric power doesn’t just belong in city hatchbacks — it can dominate the stopwatch.

Meanwhile, the paddocks buzzed with new releases. Pagani revealed the roofless Huayra Codalunga Speedster, while Lamborghini brought its new Temerario GT3 concept. Maserati unveiled the mid-engined MCPURA, and Singer debuted a limited-run 911 commission that had collectors scrambling.

But it wasn’t just about the cars. Porsche stole headlines by flying in Dua Lipa to unveil a bespoke 911 GT3 RS from its Rennstall charity collection, joined by actor Adrien Brody in a co-branded PR push that blended motorsport and pop culture.

Elsewhere, Goodwood’s Future Lab attracted large crowds with demos of AI driving systems, hydrogen race engines, and dynamic air transport models. It was a stark reminder that while Goodwood remains a celebration of petrol-fuelled history, it also has one eye firmly on the future.

Attendance was up nearly 15% from 2024, with over 190,000 visitors across four days — including industry insiders, influencers, and thousands of grassroots enthusiasts. The verdict? The Festival remains the place where automotive history and next-gen dreams meet on equal terms.
